Friday was move-in day at Loyola. We had time to ham it up a little. Loyola's move-in is spread out over several days, so it's not so busy.
Later that night we got the Loyola and Tulane leaders that were already in town, and not busy practicing with the marching band, or helping with Tulane's freshmen orientation to reconnect over dinner at our place, and spend some time remembering why we do all this stuff on campus. Some good time was spent seeking after God.
Saturday was Tulane freshmen move-in. The majority of more than 1,300 freshman, and 250 transfer students moved in that day. We were to busy hoofin' boxes around and sweating to snap any pictures. :) It was a great day to practice the art of service, and love with our hands and backs and legs. Sunday morning, was Chi Alpha on the Patio. Where we served up free pancakes, and had a brief worship service for new students to connect with God, Chi Alpha, and a few local churches that sent representatives. We met several new students that morning.
They were so blown away by the welcome they received from our student leadership team!
