People Should Not be Bought and Sold

Human Trafficking Awareness week was sponsored at Tulane last week, and Chi Alpha helped to co-sponsor it. Together with the other sponsors, we hosted two documentary screenings, got the word out via info tables on campus, and held a car wash on Saturday to raise funds for International Justice Mission and to raise awareness in the city.

Did you know that there are an estimated 27 million slaves in the world today! More than 2 million are children in the sex industry!

This disgusting injustice in our world is something that motivates me to action. I was so glad to be a part of this week at Tulane, and look forward to continuing to make a difference in the modern abolitionist movement.
